Cultural Events

UKTA takes pride in preserving the Telugu culture and tradition and explain its significance to the younger generations. Telugu festivals like Sankranthi – the festival of harvest, Ugadi – the Telugu New Year, Dusserah – the festival of good’s success over evil and Deepavali – the festival of lamps are unique and usually celebrated with grand fervour. Various countries are now trying to accommodate them into their list of annual holidays and thus integrate Telugu culture into their own.

The organisation’s motto is to bring together the community by working with other organisations and ensure the tradition and culture is preserved.
